We discovered that Penelope was allergic to MILK when she was only 9 months old. We always had a suspicion since she was born that there was something up. A few months later we discovered that she was allergic to EGGS as well. It is extremely challenging living with these allergies, as most kid foods consist of MILK & EGGS. Penelope's allergy is so severe that just going to the grocery store or even the toy store, she can show symptoms, i.e. hives, itching, sneezing and with no obvious trigger (we always suspect it could be milk residue on the cart? But we're never sure). It's hard. It's frustrating. Due to this, we don't really go out too often, as the fear of a serious reaction is always in the back of our minds. But we like to have fun in other ways!
